Data Services

Greenstreets is one of just a handful of working methodologies currently acknowledged by the UK's Environment Agency to help businesses report their packaging data. With more than 20 years’ experience of providing independent advice to UK businesses like Primark, Tate & Lyle and Highland Spring, you can trust our Data Management Service to look after your packaging waste returns securely and safely.

How does it work?

Once a Confidentiality Agreement is in place, your packaging and sales data is migrated to our purpose-designed GRIPS™ software. This is programmed to perform logic and mathematical tests on the data, then cross-checked by our experienced analysts for any errors or anomalies.

This data is then used to populate the data form submitted to compliance schemes. When annual registration and reporting is complete, your data will be updated and maintained on our secure repository, ensuring that it is available for future compliance or other reporting. Naturally the data is available at all times for audit purposes or client use.

We offer the following services:

Data Analysis

Data Analysis: Greenstreets data specialists can perform a range of routines and checks using the capability of GRIPSTM. This allows them to identify departments, suppliers or regions that attract high obligation fees, enabling clients to apportion (or bill-back) these costs accordingly. Data can also be extracted to assist with Sustainability reporting Read more about Data Analysis

Data Sourcing

Data Sourcing: Many companies have difficulty obtaining accurate information about the packaging used for their products, especially those with multiple suppliers such as retailers. Greenstreets can help by directly contacting product or packaging suppliers on your behalf and has established collection methodologies to assist in this process. Read more about Data Sourcing

Data Validation

Data Validation: Greenstreets can cross-check packaging specifications with other similar data from its extensive data repository to verify weights and other criteria. In addition, product and/or packaging suppliers may be contacted to validate the weight, type or other specifications used on the client’s products. Read more about Data Validation

Sampling: If critical packaging data cannot be provided by the client or supplier, Greenstreets can undertake physical weighing exercises on a range of selected clients’ packaging or products. This can also be used to determine packaging material types used. Read more about Sampling
