Our Story

The Meadows

The Meadows Green Streets project covers 32 Victorian houses and also aims to install photovoltaic (PV) panels on a community building.

The project is designed to lead residents from initial advice to the purchase of new technologies for their homes and to directly assist a number of residents with 50/50 match-funded grants.

The grant funding will be limited (in the region of £2,000) and the resident will need to provide matched funding up to that limit - e.g. the north facing external rear addition of a solid wall property requires treatment with internally fitted thermal board at a cost of £2,000; the grant will be £1000 and the resident must find the matching £1000.

The fund will also seek to help those in fuel poverty and may in some cases pay for the whole installation. A greater number of households will benefit from the project’s information, guidance and action.
