Our Story
The SusMo Green Streets project aims to cover a church, school, mosque, allotment pavilion and 20 homes in a community of 20,000 people.
St. Mary’s Church is seeking planning permission for the installation of a roof mounted photovoltaic PV system (8000 kWh) to generate it’s electricity, most of which would be fed back into the grid, generating income via a Clean Energy Cashback tarif.
Hamza Mosque is seeking planning permission for the installation of a roof mounted PV system to contribute towards its electricity bills.
Moseley CofE School plans to install a solar hot water system, and has a sustainability action plan that includes food growing, improving biodiversity in the grounds, reducing waste through composting and recycling, working on wider sustainability through the Extended Schools Cluster, and a Walking Bus to discourage car use. They also wish to install energy saving measures in the school such as thermostats, and on-site renewables.
