Our Story

Ham and Petersham Solariham

Ham and Petersham, neatly tucked between the River Thames and Richmond Park, is aiming to be an exemplar area for sustainable living.

The aim of Ham and Petersham ‘SolariHam’ is to build upon existing work to help everyone live in warmer, greener more efficient homes.

Our Green Streets group includes 15 homes, six schools and one social housing block. Each will receive an energy efficiency and renewable feasibility assessment. It will then be decided how best to allocate the money to help them install solar technologies and key energy efficiency improvements.

Every home that gets an assessment will also be given a free ‘starter kit’ worth up to £150. Details of the items in the starter kit can be found in the ‘files’ section. Furthermore, they will also be able to use our local grants and interest free loans to install further measures like loft insulation and heating improvements.
